It is entitled, Coast and Wildwood, Moor and Mountain, and reflects my core concerns as a landscape photographer. Concentrating on my home territory in the north east of England, and the magical landscapes of north western Scotland that have inspired me for decades it is essentially a tribute to the wild places and margins of our crowded yet still remarkably beautiful islands. Landscape photography means much more than merely recording the appearance of territory; it reflects a state of mind, identity, even spiritual connection. I hope this selection, carefully curated to reflect each month of the year, reveals that endeavour.
